Bots was created by by Henk-Jan Ebbers, who shared it under an open GPL licence in 2007. After many years of active support, at the end of 2024, Henk-Jan decided to pass the continuation of the project to the Bots community.
We believe that Bots is a fantastic system that makes EDI available for companies that want to use Open Source Software or can’t afford to spend a lot of money on a licensed system.
We are currently focusing on organizing and documenting the Development Branch, which works with Python 3.
